Feeling sick after quitting the master cleanse?

I quit the master cleanse after completing five days almost 2 days ago. The master cleanse is a detox program where you drink a water, fresh lemon, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper concoction. I stopped because I just couldnt stomach the lemonade anymore. Yesterday instead of easing off on only liquids I drank orange juice the first half of the day then a salad in the afternoon. I felt horribly sick after eating the salad. Later that night I had some carrots and the next morning I woke up feeling extremely weak and hungry, to a point where I didn’t want to get up except to fix a quick breakfast of peanut butter banana and bread. It’s night time now and I didnt eat anything else. I feel hungry but I feel sick enough to where I don’t want to eat. What should I do or what should I be eating to get my energy and appetite back?

You are not following the recommendations for getting back on a regular diet. You’ve added solids waay too fast. Although, 5 days on Master Cleanse isn’t much time at all. If you don’t want to follow the diet’s recommendation of juices ONLY at first, then at least make your diet bland as possible. Eg: rice, plain toast, broths, clear teas. Don’t forget your acidophilus to help restore normal flora.
